When I go run, there is a predominance of white cars on the road. Now I know a statement like this is really the same as what I had for lunch today, but it drew my attention to a quasi-philisophical level. Why white? Is it a cheaper paint for the carmakers? Is there a cheaper color due to lack of being bought up?
I heard on talk radio that heritage.org will send you a pocket sized Constitution for free! Something we can all refer to when asked about by inquisitive passers-by. Very cool.
I’m not exactly sure how, but the duck for this week is the 52nd duck. Which seems strange due to the fact I haven’t made the year mark (coming mid May). So, I think I will open a poll to the end of the month asking what people think of the site. I also will hold off posting the next 11 ducks until May 12th as it only seems fair to keep on the 1 duck per week track. I humbly thank you for dropping by and thanks to all who have donated to the museum either by duck or by Paypal. It’s you who keep me calm on the surface and paddling like crazy under the water.
Just a short note, but can we please start electing people who have some semblance of morals? Is there anyone out there in New York (or Detroit, now) that runs for office and has not had a ruinous indiscretion? Come on.
Today, I got two new additions to the flock, bringing me up to 60 total ducks and the first 25 contributors. I want to do something special for those who have given to me things that I never asked for, but love anyway. Hmmmm, what to do, what to do.
In this contemplative time of Easter, I’ve come up with a new acronym that needs to be spraypainted onto a few t-shirts. CTJ. “CTJ” stands for “Come To Jesus”. He came to die for every one of us. If you come to Him, confess your sins, and ask for Him to come into your heart, He will. And the comfort that comes to you will be indescribable.
All of the sudden, I’m reading a bunch and working toward a more streamlined physique. Crunches in the morning, running at night, reading Guerilla Marketing, Teach Yourself SQL in 24 hours, trying to pass on desserts. I was also sick all weekend, so it’s been kinda kooky in regards to getting things done on the home front. But God has His hand in all this, to be sure.
P.S. Saw a picture of Hugh Jackman on the beach this weekend looking all Wolverine-y. That’s my goal!
