How Amazing God is…

Okay, major geek alert, but I caught this Nova tonight on PBS whilst washing dishes, and really how amazing is it that God was so intelligent in His design of the universe that it could be based on math.  Of course, the scientific community would almost never recognize this, perhaps it coinsides with my view of Expelled tomorrow night.  It just cannot be said enough that we have a marvellous creator.

Hey, I’ve missed you too.  We’ll talk more tomorrow maybe.

State of the Museum

My fellow patrons, my apologies for the recent lack pertaining to posting and floating fowl encouragement.  The anniversary came and went, and I somehow made posting into a job, which I had no intention of doing, but I hear many in the republic of Blogostan run into.  Maybe it was burn-out, but I suspect it really was external forces that needed the attention of this administration that lowered the priority of my communications to the droppers by of the ‘net.

I think it best to start with old news and the goal achievement.  Yes, back in post number two I had set up goals and so far, 67% of those goals were achieved this year.  I think we continue to talk about God’s love for all and His committment to us through His Son, Jesus.  Folks, He sent Jesus down for us in an ultimate sacrifice, and I cannot stand in the way of that message.  I will continue with bringing the light of the world to the ‘net.  Second, I think the site has been amusing and has brought forth things like lijit (which didn’t work out here) and animoto (which is super fun).  I again, want to continue with bringing interesting and amusing content.

The only goal currently not being met is the self funding of the site.  Attempts have been made with Google adsense, but the fact is that after starting sometime in September, the site has garnered $1.14.  I want to start a new avenue of revenue, but it hasn’t really happened.  This is the weakest effort in goal, but I did not set out for the museum to be a bankroll, but a megaphone with some pictures of the generosity of people around me.  Who would have guessed it would have come to this?

In closing, once again I thank you patrons, I thank Brian, and I am thankful for the freedom available to me to do what I do when I do it.  It has been a great year, and I look forward to what the museum holds for the future.

Thank you, God Bless the Museum, and God Bless the ‘net!

Happy Anniversary!

Wow, I somehow made it through a year on the site!  Let’s see, I’ll be sure to get a birdseed cake.  Hee hee hee.

But really, none of this is possible without God, duck donors, Brian, and those of you who drop by to see what I have to say and sometimes click through the ads.  And speaking of ads, I’m thinking about replacing them with something more financially, and consequently spiritually, rewarding.  More on that later.

CTJ ASAP

In this contemplative time of Easter, I’ve come up with a new acronym that needs to be spraypainted onto a few t-shirts.  CTJ.  “CTJ” stands for “Come To Jesus”.  He came to die for every one of us.  If you come to Him, confess your sins, and ask for Him to come into your heart, He will.  And the comfort that comes to you will be indescribable.

Do it today. Do it now.  CTJ.
Amen

Getting Fast, Getting Dense

All of the sudden, I’m reading a bunch and working toward a more streamlined physique.  Crunches in the morning, running at night, reading Guerilla Marketing, Teach Yourself SQL in 24 hours, trying to pass on desserts.  I was also sick all weekend, so it’s been kinda kooky in regards to getting things done on the home front.  But God has His hand in all this, to be sure.

P.S. Saw a picture of Hugh Jackman on the beach this weekend looking all Wolverine-y.  That’s my goal!

Now that’s what I call super!

So, I got pulled into the game Sunday night, and I was kinda shocked at how much I enjoyed it.  But what really blew me away was when it was all over and the interviews came on, many players for the Giants gave all the glory to God!  Health, ability, the road to the championship, just made the players cry.  I’ll say it again, I was blown away.  I think God wanted me to see that and say, “Consider these children of Mine.  They are not alone.  Neither are you.”

Gettin’ ‘Casted

You know you’ve reached a whole ‘nother level when you are connected online with the laptop in the dining room while your beloved works online in the bedroom (where the desktop lives).  I’ve even downloaded ‘casts to my ol’ nano this weekend (a first for me).  I know, ‘welcome to the world’ and all, but it is exciting.

Thanks, God.  How awesome of You to put the ability to make this all possible into people You created.  Not only am I excited for what You have in store for this world in the future, but also for the world to come.

P.S.  I did try to upgrade my new router using the tips at Lifehacker (my new favorite website), but it wouldn’t take.  I think my version number (6.0) is too high.  *shrugs*

TWiMs-mas Past

So as the year winds down and ‘casters take a holiday break, I listen to old ‘casts of yore.  The particular one I listened to today was This Week In Media’s #62, and I love when Alex Lindsay talks about God being the One Programmer in the aftershow in regards to “flocking” (01:06:49 for those who pay attention to timecode).  He may not have been exactly serious, but it’s really hard for me to not see God in all the details.  Take a moment just to consider how all that goes on around us may not be a coincidence.  It boggles my mind and then I just give it back to Him.

I will try to post a duck next Monday and write a few things here or there, but I want to wish all that stop by a blessed Christmas.  Thanks for considering this site a destination in a huge sea of information.  I have indeed been blessed by all who stop by.
