Let the Wookie Win

I just want to touch political this week in saying that if we let the marketplace decide what is and isn’t important, the world would go around a little smoother.  We need corn and water to eat and drink, not power our vehicles.  We need current policies enforced, not new ones written up (re: immigration).  We need overwhelming force to crush the opposition, not the continuation of skirmish warfare to keep the world in balance and to bring Americans out of various sandboxes alive.  Both sides are really making me sick at this point and fearful as to what the future holds. How this relates to a wookie winning, I’m not sure, but sometimes that’s how the post starts.::shrugs::

HR 984 and HR 2093 must go down

I really don’t want to run a political blog, but when it comes to laws, I’m a minimalist.  I also really only have two outlets for news on these issues: the netcasts that mainly come from TWiT, and emails from the HSLDA (which protects families who homeschool, of which I am one).  The above are actually amendments to a bill that if passed will constrict grassroots lobbying at all levels.  The smaller voices are effectively crushed at all levels.  I’m just not down with that.  Please tell your house representatives to vote these puppies down.

Internet Radio Equality Act (HR 2060)

I know I’m going to be the cow’s tail on this issue as I listen to podcasts by the download rather than live or podloading (I learned about this issue on Amber and Leo’s show), but please contact your senators and representatives having them support this bill to save internet radio.  And while I know sites like Pandora will be affected by this, I can’t help but to wonder if stations like allquartetsradio.com and other gospel/spiritual stations will be affected.

Also, take a moment to participate in the National Day of Prayer.  God is wondering how you are doing.  Why not give Him a call?

Wow, two posts in my first week!  Who knew I had it in me?
