Will the Evangelicals Strike Again?
It’s close.
Not only is it close to the election being over, but polls disagree on what kind of lead Obama has over McCain, ranging anywhere from 1 to 9 points. Which harkens back to the days of 2004 where the polls were not the best indicators for Kerry. Why was this?
The evangelicals came out to vote.
Or at least that was one of the dominant reasons Bush won over Kerry as reported by, well, many news outlets. Which knowing some of the disparaging comments Obama has made about “clinging to guns and Bibles” makes me wonder if this phenomenon could occur again. I’m of the opinion that it is indeed a different election. Voter turnout will be at it’s highest in years, based on returns from early and absentee voting.
Which only adds to my question to start. Will the Evangelicals strike again and will it be enough for McCain to overcome Obama’s consistent lead?
We’ll find out soon enough.
Happy elections everyone. Be safe out there, make your vote count, and God Bless America, no matter who wins.
